My name is Anne Coppola and I have been a State Farm Agent since a female small business owner! I was born and raised in Ansonia, AHS Class of 1982, where I played basketball and softball. I have been a female small business owner for 30 years, first with a Martin’s potato roll route, a landscaping business, and a Little Debbie route all before finding my home with State Farm. My office is located in Ansonia, I love interacting with families born and raised in the Valley. In 2001 my parents, sister, brother-in-law and I cleared 5.5 acres of land on Hilltop Ansonia and built two dream homes from the ground up. We have enjoyed so many Sunday-Funday’s, many parties, a memorable amount of laughs and unfortunate loss. My father was diagnosed in 2015 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, he fought a solid two years and unfortunately lost his battle in 2017. 2016 we put a team together for the Smilow Closer to Free ride at Yale New Haven Hospital. This event helps raise money for the Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center. We have continued to participate in the ride even after the passing of our loving father. My father was a store manager for Stop and Shop for over 40 years, he was my business acumen inspiration. My mother raised myself, sister and two brothers while working the 11pm-7am shift in a local nursing home. She has shared her creativeness with me. She continues to take care of all of us including her 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. I love being a small local business owner and seeing friendly faces walk thru the door.
